Oilers seized victory in dramatic walk-off fashion, thanks to a walk-off home run at the end of the game to topple Corona Del Mar. The game was tied at eight with Oilers batting in the bottom of the seventh when Bradley Navarro homered on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.
Oilers opened up scoring in the first inning, when Ralph Velazquez homered on a 2-0 count, scoring three runs.
Oilers evened things up at eight in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Oilers put up four runs in the third inning. Oilers put the pressure on, led by a single by Brian Trujillo and by Navarro.
Brad Grindlinger got the start for Oilers. The fireballer surrendered seven runs on five hits over three innings, striking out seven and walking one.
Oilers smacked two home runs on the day. Velazquez had a long ball in the first inning. Navarro went yard in the seventh inning.
Aidan Espinoza went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Oilers in hits.
