Freshman Oilers easily did away with Trabuco Hills Mustangs 10-2 on Saturday
Oilers opened up scoring in the first inning when Jason Dunham was hit by a pitch, driving in a run.
Oilers tallied four runs in the fourth inning. Nathan Sammartano, Dunham, Brayden Wood, and Jared Marchbank powered the big inning with RBIs.
Owen Bone was the winning pitcher for Oilers. The righty lasted two innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out two and walking one. Marchbank, Steel Kurtz, and Leo Aguilar all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.
Oilers racked up ten hits on the day. Dane Cunningham and Sol Moriyama all had multiple hits for Oilers. Cunningham led Oilers with three hits in four at bats. Oilers was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error.
