Junior Varsity Oilers secures victory over Loyola Cubs on Saturday to the tune of 4-1
Oilers got on the board in the first inning. Fred Angiuli drew a walk, scoring one run.
In the top of the second inning, Loyola Junior Varsity Cubs tied things up at one when Davis Bender drew a walk, scoring one run.
Oilers pulled away for good with three runs in the third inning. In the third Porter singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run, Micah Riola singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run, and Russell Lopez was hit by a pitch, driving in a run.
Evan Hesse was on the pitcher's mound for Oilers. The bulldog went two innings, allowing one run on zero hits and striking out two.
Oilers tallied seven hits on the day. Angiuli and Tanner Edson each collected multiple hits for Oilers.
