Oilers got on the board in the first inning. Owen Bone grounded out into a double play but still was able to knock in one run.
Bone led the Oilers to victory on the hill. Bone allowed two hits and two runs over four and a third innings, striking out eight. Mason Tapia and Dane Cunningham entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
Oilers Freshman racked up ten hits on the day. Tapia, Easton Shortle, and Jason Dunham each managed multiple hits. Dunham, Shortle, and Tapia each collected two hits to lead the Oilers. Shortle led with three stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with eight stolen bases.
