Oilers pulled away for good with four runs in the third inning when Bradley Navarro singled on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs, Tony Martinez singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run, and Dean Carpentier doubled on the first pitch scoring one run.
Nathan Aceves led things off on the mound, allowed five hits and one run over four innings, striking out four and walking one.
Oilers collected ten hits on the day. Velazquez and Martinez each had multiple hits for Oilers. Velazquez went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Oilers in hits.
