Oilers snatched the lead late in their 6-5 victory over Sailors on Wednesday. The game was tied at five in the top of the sixth when Jaxon Vilardi singled, scoring one run.
Oilers took the lead, 3-1, in the top of the second thanks to singles by Mason Kirkman, Rex Fox, and Vilardi.
Oilers added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Kirkman was struck by a pitch, and Ely Mason hit into a fielder's choice, each scoring one run.
Jonas Hart earned the win for Oilers. The reliever surrendered two hits and one run (zero earned) over four innings, striking out four and walking none. Jaxon Olmstead started on the bump for Oilers. They allowed four hits and four runs (two earned) over three innings, striking out four and walking two.
