Trent Grindlinger drove in four runs on four hits to lead Oilers past Chargers 8-3 on Tuesday. Grindlinger doubled in the third scoring two, singled in the first scoring one, and doubled in the sixth scoring one.
A single by Grindlinger put Oilers on the board in the top of the first.
Oilers took the lead in the top of the second. Jayton Greer singled, scoring one run, to give Oilers the upper hand, 2-1.
Oilers added two runs in the third after Grindlinger doubled.
Nathan Aceves started the game for Oilers and surrendered six hits and two runs over three innings, striking out three and walking one.
Otto Espinoza, Jake Frohn, and Tanner Brown each came on in relief for Oilers and shutdown Chargers.
Oilers collected 12 hits in the game. Tony Martinez and Ethan Porter each collected multiple hits for Oilers. Porter paced Oilers with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, collecting six walks for the game. Oilers were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error.
